The VisionSOM-iMX91 (SLS17) family comprises SODIMM-sized System-on-Modules based on the NXP i.MX 91 application processor. The processor integrates a single Arm Cortex-A55 core operating at frequencies of up to 1.4 GHz, a 16-bit LPDDR4 memory interface, a 24-bit parallel RGB display interface supporting resolutions of up to 1366 × 768 at 60 Hz or 1280 × 800 at 60 Hz, an 8-bit parallel camera interface, two CAN FD controllers, two Gigabit Ethernet interfaces and advanced hardware security features.
The VisionSOM-iMX91 is a highly integrated, general-purpose System-on-Module designed for energy-efficient Linux-based embedded applications. An optional, fully certified wireless module provides 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connectivity compliant with IEEE 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth Low Energy 5.1. This option simplifies carrier-board design and makes the module particularly suitable for connected and wireless applications.
The VisionSOM-iMX91 is available in various memory configurations, including a flexible range of LPDDR4 memory and eMMC flash capacities.
The VisionSOM-iMX91 supports a wide range of interfaces, including:
- two high-speed USB 2.0 On-The-Go interfaces with integrated PHYs;
- two 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet interfaces;
- up to two I3C interfaces;
- up to eight UART, eight I²C and eight SPI interfaces;
- a 24-bit parallel RGB display interface;
- an 8-bit parallel camera interface;
- two CAN FD interfaces;
- digital audio and other standard peripheral interfaces.
The module is suitable for industrial-grade embedded applications requiring low power consumption, Linux support, reliable communication interfaces and advanced hardware security.
For evaluation and prototyping, we recommend using the dedicated VisionCB-iMX93-STD carrier board.
