The VisionSOM-iMX93 (SLS26) family comprises SODIMM-sized System-on-Modules based on the NXP i.MX 93 application processor. The processor features a heterogeneous architecture combining two Arm Cortex-A55 application cores with an Arm Cortex-M33 real-time microcontroller core. It also integrates an advanced 2D Graphics Processing Unit and a Neural Processing Unit for neural-network and machine-learning acceleration.

The dual-core Cortex-A55 cluster, combined with the Cortex-M33 core, provides the flexibility required to run Linux and advanced HMI applications alongside real-time workloads and AI/ML processing.

The VisionSOM-iMX93 (SLS26) is a highly integrated, general-purpose System-on-Module offering high computing performance, including dedicated AI and machine-learning acceleration. An optional, fully certified wireless module provides Wi-Fi connectivity compliant with IEEE 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth Low Energy 5.1. This option simplifies carrier-board design and makes the module particularly suitable for connected and wireless applications.

The VisionSOM-iMX93 is available in various memory configurations, including a flexible range of LPDDR4 memory and eMMC flash capacities.

The VisionSOM-iMX93 supports a wide range of interfaces, including:

  • two high-speed USB On-The-Go interfaces with integrated PHYs;
  • two 1 Gb/s Ethernet interfaces;
  • modern I3C connectivity and a wide range of standard serial interfaces;
  • MIPI-DSI and LVDS display interfaces supporting Full HD applications;
  • CAN FD interfaces for industrial and automotive communication.

The module is suitable for industrial-grade embedded applications requiring high computing performance, real-time operation, advanced graphics and AI/ML acceleration.

For evaluation and prototyping, we recommend using the dedicated VisionCB-iMX93-STD carrier board.
