The VisionSOM-RT1170 (SLS14) family comprises SODIMM-sized System-on-Modules based on the NXP i.MX RT117x crossover microcontroller family. The device features a heterogeneous dual-core architecture combining a high-performance Arm Cortex-M7 core operating at frequencies of up to 1 GHz with an Arm Cortex-M4 core operating at frequencies of up to 400 MHz.
The VisionSOM-RT1170 is a highly integrated, low-power System-on-Module combining high computing performance, deterministic real-time operation and the flexibility of a microcontroller-based platform.
Advanced hardware security features include support for Elliptic Curve Cryptography, AES-128 and AES-256, hardware random-number generation, RSA with key lengths of up to 4096 bits, and DES and Triple DES algorithms. High Assurance Boot and on-the-fly QSPI flash decryption help protect the system software and external program memory.
The integrated 2D graphics accelerator makes the module particularly well suited to advanced graphical user interfaces, home and industrial control systems, communication equipment and demanding real-time embedded applications.
For evaluation and prototyping, we recommend using the dedicated VisionCB-RT1176-STD carrier board.
