The StarSOM-STM32V8 (SLS08) family comprises miniature computing modules based on the STM32V873XJH6 microcontroller. The device features a high-performance Arm Cortex-M85 core operating at frequencies of up to 800 MHz, supported by 4 MB of embedded non-volatile memory manufactured using an 18 nm FD-SOI process. The STM32V8 semiconductor architecture supports operation at temperatures of up to 140°C.
The StarSOM-STM32V8 (SLS08) modules can optionally be equipped with an integrated Ethernet PHY interface.
The StarSOM-STM32V8 is a highly integrated, low-power System-on-Module combining high computing performance, deterministic real-time operation and the flexibility of a microcontroller-based platform. Advanced security features include Arm TrustZone technology and an integrated cryptographic accelerator supporting AES, HMAC, MD5, SHA-1, SHA-2 and other cryptographic algorithms.
The integrated Chrom-ART and Chrom-GRC graphics accelerators, together with the TFT LCD controller, make the module particularly well suited to advanced graphical user interfaces, home and industrial control systems, wireless and communication applications, and real-time embedded systems.
The StarSOM-STM32V8 (SLS08) features a square PCB form factor and two low-profile, 100-pin board-to-board connectors, providing a total of 200 connection points.
For evaluation and prototyping, we recommend using the dedicated StarCB-STM32V8-STD carrier board.
